COSMETIC TOOTH MOVEMENT USED BY BELLEVUE COSMETIC DENTIST

Cosmetic Tooth Movement Gives Beautiful Smiles

The Cosmetic Dentists at Brookside Dental, Bellevue, WA, use removable orthodontic appliances, called Hawley Applicances, to move a limited number of teeth prior to doing veneers and crowns on anterior teeth. This limited tooth movement method is used to preserve the integrity and strength of the individual teeth by aligning the teeth, so that much less tooth structural material needs to be removed if crowns or porcelain veneers are used for a smile makeover. The limited use of removable orthodontic appliances is usually a more conservative option to veneers and crowns that are done without any orthodontic treatments. In many cases the limited movement of the teeth will be such that no tooth structure will need to be removed and therefore not require any porcelain crowns or veneers. This procedure when needed makes a more beautiful and long lasting smile by preserving the maximum amount of natural tooth structure. Very often, all that is required following limited tooth movement with Hawley Appliances is Seattle Tooth Whitening for a beautiful smile makeover.

Before Limited Tooth Movement Lower teeth are in need of alignment and straightening.

After Limited Tooth Movement Lower teeth are in perfect alignment for a beautiful new smile.

  1. I can say that this is true because my South Carolina dentist (Rock Hill) once told me that as much as possible, he wants to avoid extraction to preserve my original set of teeth. He said that when he found out I needed crown replacement, but instead he used orthodontic appliances to promote tooth movement. My sister-in-law goes to the same dentist (Tega Cay is her location though), and she was told almost the same thing, but she pushed through with the porcelain veneers.

  2. wow! the result is really superb! I believe this is so true because I had my friends who also undergo the same procedures at Richmond Dentist and it was also a job well done!

  3. It is important to many individuals to have a gentle dentist, especially when a sensitive mouth is involved. Then there is that strange fear of the dentist because the mouth is a sensitive place. The mouth is so sensitive that sometimes activities such as flossing can make the gums bleed or inflict pain. We are more comfortable with having control over our toothbrushes rather than having someone else place strange objects into our mouths. However, the key to good oral hygiene is seeing a dentist twice per year.
